Ok.. I'm anable to find an add-a-leaf that will fit the sports rear leaf. Putting this in for the trip coming up. If yoiu guys know what will fit with a part number that would be great. I been doing a search for on the site to the past 7 years and can't find it yet. The trucks at the shop and the guys are just sitting there not knowing what to do.

Check the yellow pages for shops that make and install commercial truck leaf springs.
They can make them.

Since the early leaf sprung Montero Sport is the same platform as the Mighty max, I would look at the part number for one of those, which probably interchanges with the leave sprung Gen 1 add a leaf. Check summitracing.com.

Rancho makes one for a might max with 2.5 inch wide leafs..measure the width of yours if the same should work..could not find a pt# but any rancho dealer should be able to get it for you.

In the Rancho Book: P/N RS60612
The listing is for 82-84 pickup, 2 and 4wd.
Specs: 22" length, 2.36" width, .40" thickness, 2" arch, Tapered ends.
Hope that helps <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Spoke w/ Dat. He's checking it out today. He said the 4x4shop checked the spring arch of his springs and couldn't find a comparable arch in the book but I have to wonder how well they searched.

I dont remember what they said the width of the springs were but the one on the market were either 1/4 too wide on both side or a 1/4 too shorth on bith side. With all the searching the did come up with OME for a a spring set.

So this is what i'm doing. They a a long leaf set that is 1/4 smaller on both side. I told to put it in. I believe with the longer set the 1/4 won't be much of a diff.

BTW the shop is 4Xdoctors. they are pretty well known for thye their work.

also glad to hear your gonna make it Ray.
