Need a Spot
OK so i get this right, to time the 22re you have to take the (TPS) out of the loop. so you do that how? and where exactly does that jumper wire go... And if you take the tps out it will alow you to make the adjustment? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
ps got it timed but idels high, is that whytake the tps out of loop, to jump it efi main fuse to what?

Getting the Wheeling Fever
I believe you have to reset the efi computer to do so it should say in the manual of how to do it i know i read it in craigs manual under trouble codes...
You have to make the jumper wire and use it in the fuse box off the efi main fuses and jump the circuit to reset the efi system...and i believe this takes the tps out of loop..

Wheeler
here is a pic of the check connector...

its in the same location as my 86... if the TPS is adjusted
correctly, then you should audibly hear the RPMs drop when you insert the jumper...

this is also the same connector to pull any codes stored in the ECU.

Good luck,
