I have a 95 rodeo with a v6 and it hesitates when i give it gas.It idles fine but when you put it in gear and try to give it gas it just hesitates the whole time

check your vacuum lines out first makes sure all connections are good

don't know just bought it. I'm pretty sure it's an ignition problem and not a fuel problem.I am going to pull the plugs and check their condition and go from there. I was just hoping someone else had been through this and knew something easy to check or fix so that I don't spend alot of time and money trying to fix it.

changed plugs and wires seemeed to help alittle. when I was changing the plugs I noticed some of them had oil around them.is this a sign of valve cover gaskets needing to be changed?

I had the issue also. It started as a small hesitation when I was heavy on the gas. Slowly became so bad I could not get above 55mph without it cutting out. It turned out to be so much oil in the spark plug holes it would ground out the plugs to the heads <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />. Mine was driver side, but it could be either. I replaced the spark plug tube seals, it fixed my problem.
