Ok , was out in the truck the other day on a trip to the river , and i noticed something I never noticed before. The passenger side mirror is smaller than the drivers side.Is this normal on troopers as I never paid any attention in my other one I had either , so just assumed all vehicles have the same size mirrors on both sides.
I would say it is almost 1/4 size smaller than the drivers side.If this is normal , why would they have 2 sizes on the trucks?

So no one at all has any input on this?I'll try and get some pictures while I am actually home for a week and am hoping to get out and go check out an old camping spot that needs a 4x to get to.I will try and get some pics of that too.

I suspect that at some point in your vehicle's long life, someone swapped a mirror, probably from an earlier year of Trooper. Both of my mirrors are the same size.

The factory installed two exterior rear view mirrors of the same size on 1st gen Troopers.
Buy a Trooper. You'll be glad you did.

Heres a pic of the front of the truck , and you can definately see the size difference with the mirrors.I guess at one time it must have been replaced , but no idea why it was replaced with a smaller one. ![[Linked Image]](http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y26/shadowbarak/lake%20trip/IMG_0080.jpg) Go here for the bigger version of the pic. truck

the universal-fit "OOPS!" mirrors at various stores... are about 2/3 the size of trooper mirrors but otherwise mostly look stock-ish.
I bet if you unscrew that wimpy mirror you'll find they butchered up the factory mount holes, too
Get a real replacement, makes a HUGE difference when driving and changing lanes, towing etc
