Will a 78 cherokee dana 44 fit under the front of a 84 cj? Does anyone have a link to a web page thats explains how? Better yet has any one done it. Is it like a wagonner swap. Any help would be appreciated thanks guys.

It is wider buy about 4 inches or so, if you have the correct widetrack axle now. The front springs on your '7 would have to be moved outboard. Narrowing it is fairly straight forward if you are so inclined, then it can be just bolted in. I have built sevral of these axles, in varying degrees of brute strength, that were all narrowed for a bolt in application. If you do decide to narrow it, Yukon gear has an inner axle shaft that is a standard part for another axle. It is the best way to go as opposed to having yours narrowed.
