Speedometer problem

Need a Spot
|
Have a 1993 toyota extended cab 4x4 pickup. It takes a couple of miles down the road before the speedometer starts working. I've already changed out the speed sensor at the transfer case, no change in problem. Once the speedometer starts working, it works great.

Hey, welcome to the board! I'm unsure if the later trucks used a sensor, or have the plastic gear behind the instrument panel. If the latter, it might be worn, or need some lube. We DO have an FSM for your year sticky'd at the top of this section. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />
