Check out Capncrunchs repair job on his rear leaf hanger. It is well done. Something that I need to do in the future.

I had broken my passenger-side leaf forward hanger in Moab on our trip in 2005. Had a quick repair-job done in town to get me back home, but once back home I got both sides welded up and graduated with 1/4" steel plate. They're pretty bomb-proof now.

Need a Spot
well it looks like i'm geting ride of the truck.

someone offered me $500 the way it sits, and i'm going to take it.

well it was late at night and i was driving for 5 hrs before that and well i was just trying to make it back home as i had to work in the morning and had to drive all night. so if i wasn't the only car for miles i prolly would have slowed down.

88' montero SWB (turbo 2.6l project)
03' S2000w/hardtop (daily ride)
91' crx dx (my never ending project)

Sorry to hear you won't be fixing it, but it sounds like the rust probably got the best of it anyway. Find a GOOD frame truck with problem engine and go after that for a turbo project!

Good luck and thanks for being responsible!
