Heard a lot of good things about this manual on here. Was wondering if those who bought it after owning the others, Chilton's and Haynes, could comment on the difference.

I don't have a particular immediate need for it (no major problems) I'm just sick of the Chilton's manual that I have. I mean its ok for some stuff but others you might as well rip out the pages and use them in the instead of the garage.

Thanks a lot.

If you are planning on keeping your truck for any significant length of time and doing any work yourself that ranks much above changing the oil and plugs, I would definitely recommend the FSM/Helm manual. The level of completeness in information available just does not compare. I still keep a Chilton or Haynes around typically for simple reference, or as a second potential angle on a picture, but that's about it.

Sorry for posting in the wrong forum. I just posted away not paying attention to the title . I tried to delete it in the other forum but I guess I cant. If you want to thats certainly ok. Sorry again.

I know Jerry Lemond recently picked up a bunch of shop manuals from a closing Isuzu dealership, he may have one that would work for you for a lot less $$. jlemond@bellsouth.net

Sorry for the delay to get back. Thank you all for the advice and help now and in the past. There is so much misinformation that people give out on so called "help" forums its nice to know that the thoughts and advice that comes from here is grounded in solid experience. It may just be me now that I'm older 40, but there seems to be a serious lack of experience in most fields these days. I'm not that OLD but I remember the days when you go into a store be it automotive or building materials and the people working there actually KNEW what they were talking about..
Thanks again
