The 4x4 was not working properly when it arrived from japan, we had to change the vacuum hose of position to get the 4x4 working. Changed thew vacuum valve located on the right fender in the engine compartment and the 4x4 system worked. The only problem is on 2 wheel drive, the light of the front diff and wheel in the dash is always flashing??? Something stange also, no glow plug light, did open the instrument panel and even if I want to put a bulb at the right place, there is no wire connected for that bulbu from the factory??? Anybody with a diesel 1992 Pajero whit a glow plug light??

Those roof racks from from Japan/Australia.
The 4x4/front diff flashing would be your auto hubs.
Switch it to 4high, drive, brake and see if it's engaged.
If it is, then see if the lights turn solid.
Then switch is back to 2wd and drive forward a bit. Then stop. Go back in reverse a few meters and the lights should stop flashing.
Consider replacing the auto hubs with superwinch/aisin manual hubs.

he doesn't have auto-hubs....they are drive flanges on our GEN II's stock. but still try driving backwards and forwards to see if they will go out.
and yes, my roof rack came with the truck when I bought it from Japan. they are available overseas quite easily.
where in Alberta do you live???

The front should only flash if you are putting it into 4X4 and you don't have the wheel straight. Once the wheel is straight and you drive for a bit it should go solid. Does it continue to flash when you are in 4X4 or does it go solid?

Yep, as noted, no hubs to break/fail. But there is a documented fix for the flashing light problem on super select 4wd systems. Follow it all the way through and report back... http://4wd.blogeasy.com/article.view.run?articleID=318776That's your homework assignment. Only the 2.8's were fitted with glowplugs lights in the genII - for yours, listen for a click after you turn the key forward, but before you crank. After 2-5 seconds (depending on temp) you'll hear another click as the system cycles off. Now you crank it over. Fast clicks may follow if its cold enough to trigger the afterglow system, but will soon stop once the fuel is warmed up a bit. The clicks are loud - you won't need a light. And echoing from above, where in AB are you? My wife spied a Paj in Airdrie yesterday just like mine but a 4 door. Is that you by chance? Phil
