Getting the Wheeling Fever
well i am attempting to do my own bearings in the rear, i have done bearings for carier and pinions before but i wasnt installing them so i was wondering were there any tricks besides putting it all back the way it came out?
several people say if you put it back with the shims it came with it should be ok, oh and a new crush sleeve.

Body Damage is Cool
Mark your spanner ring adjusters...use a new crush with anti-seize compound on the pinion threads and you should have no issues.

id recommend a solid spacer instead of the crush sleeve plus i find then easier to install.

well it turned out to be easier than i thought.
pinion bearings is the only ones i changed, i had a friend with experience come and check my work, the only thing i needed was a little more preload on pinion.
.007 is what the back lash was when i put everything back together, which felt like .030 to me on the ring gear but the dial don't lie.
thanks for all the info.
