I have a 2000 Sportage 2dr convertible 4WD manual trans. It has an ECM marked "K08B" with an orange label. Kia part number is OK08B 18881.
I've looked all over for used ones, and all i seem to find are K07A with a yellow label.
Can i use this in my vehicle? Does anyone know what the differneces between the 2 are? I'm not paying $750.00 to the Stealer for a new one ....

I'm not certain but K08B might be an indicator for manual tranny vs K07A might be for automatic.
And as posted it will work, sort of. You'll have a permanent CEL because an auto tranny ECM will be looking for a TCM to interface with. Manual tranny's don't have a TCM.
