getting ready to replace my sqealing heater motor in the CJ7, any one know about swapping in a different motor than the stock one for pushing more air?

For a squeeling fan motor I just drill a small hole into the bearing hump on both ends of the shaft and librally squirt some 30W in the holes. Inside there is a small piece of felt that holds the oil for the bearings.. It has worked everytime for me.. Hold the motor in the upright position before drilling the holes and drill on the topside if possible..

I believe a motor from an early 80,s full size blazer will work all you need to do is cut a slightly larger hole in the firewall. I,ll check my info its somewhere in the garage and post it up tomorrow.

Yep a blower from an early 80's blazer is what you want. The parts store will probably ask you what engine you have, no like it makes a difference, I told them I had a 350. You will have to make the hole in the firewall slightly bigger, but not much. Now the low setting blows harder than high used too. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
