Inside there is a small piece of felt that holds the oil for the bearings.. It has worked everytime for me.. Hold the motor in the upright position before drilling the holes and drill on the topside if possible.. The parts store will probably ask you what engine you have, no like it makes a difference, I told them I had a 350. You will have to make the hole in the firewall slightly bigger, but not much.
