Secessionists meeting in Tennessee Would anyone care if Vermont seceded ? Would there be huge tariffs on maple syrup?

I thought Texas was the only state that is "legally" able to secede from the US? I'm not an expert, but I looked into this before, I don't recall anything that states clearly (legal mumbo jumbo) States can't secede.

After a worldwide shortage of Maple syrup, the world will realize it can be easily tapped from Maple Trees in the Midwest, and the Pink Republic of New England will become an economic wasteland of unarmed homosexual recycling couples. The Newly Formed Republic of Put a Hurtin To Ya Southern Style will get all liquored up and get a hankering for some lobster.
They get momentarily sidetracked at the Rapa Scrapple plant on their 'March to the Nancies' campaign, but after a refueling of some corn squeezin's, they easily infiltrate and overthrow the government, making every person involved into their own personal 'garage b!tches' and lawn boys. NE suffers a devestating total of 3 million dead and another 500,000 missing, while the sole Southern injury, General Jackson Jeb Lee Stonewall IV accidentally shoots himself in the thigh while jumping his ATV amidst a 36 day White Lightning born bender.

Nah- someone else posted a Yahoo article about that on my high school alumni message board this morning, and that was my reply. I had to edit it a bit (tons) to make it Wire friendly.
Rappa's mail order scrapple starts again next month!
Or was that someone else. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

How would the crap get packaged? I could probably ship you some for cheaper.

How would the crap get packaged? I could probably ship you some for cheaper. I forget the price...but it was pretty reasonable (considering the distance). I think they dry ice it and overnight the package. I once had a couple of Jr's cheese cakes shipped out from NYC. Pretty expensive, but worth it. If only I could firgure out how to get Lombardi's to get me a hot pizza out here.
