Huh??? Both my starters are on the oil filter side. As for what the wire is for, who knows? The starters only have one small and one large wire going to them. It may be the starter enable wire. -- Bryan

LOL OOPs I forgot, I have a 7M Supra in mine. My starter is on the wrong side. soory bout that. please continue, i will go back to my hole

Yup. It was to the starter. It threw me off because it has the square connector body busted off it. (missouriman- the wire is black under the sleeving) Thanks people.
