Need a Spot
Can anyone help me find a rebuild kit for this engine. I called a mechanic shop to see if they would rebuild the engine and they say no because the parts were too hard to find.
Also, where can I find a repair manual for this trooper, I bought a chilton manual and it is not much help on anything specific.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I found my manual on ebay. They're not that rare. One every 2 months on average. Search for C223T engine or trooper diesel. There are occasional bearings and rings available on ebay, but you almost have to have disassembled and mic'ed your engine cylinders and bearing journals in advance because they're sized in " so many thousandths " over the original size. There are Isuzu industrial outlets for construction equipment and OTR refrigeration units that frequently have different knowledge on interchange and suppliers than do auto rebuilders.

For rebuild parts or parts in general for new or old Isuzu's look at Ebay Australia - Search under Holden + Jackaroo (same thing as trooper) very common down under.

postage is not cheap if from Australia to US, you will be better of to buy a second hand imported engine from Japan rather than rebuild option.

These engines/parts are a bit hard to find these day in Australia. Complete engine from Japan goes around $2300-$2500 in Australia. However a complete car is only about $1000-$2000.

Cheers,
