hello everyone, new to the forums. I've got an 85 4x4 with 22re motor. Just put in a new attarco motor with new head. Lifted 5inches (need rear springs, on blocks for now). i was wondering if anyone here has done a vented rotor conversion, i have everything to get it done, but was just curious if anyone has done it so in case i miss something or if there might be anything else i'll need. Of couse i have the rotors off a 81ish fj and calipers off an 88 4x4 yota. i'll be doing the install this weekend but was wondering if theres anything else i might need. Thanks for your help.
(added 10/19)I'll be installing this tomorrow, has anyone else done this conversion?

i used some little 1/4" wheel spacers when i went to vented. the ifs calipers stick out a little past the hub mounting surface.

It's pretty straight forward. Just bolt the stuff together. You may or may not need the spacers, depending upon the backspacing on your wheels. In my case, I had to buy the 1/4" wheel spacers, and grind some of the cooling fins off the calipers. Other than that, just bolt it up.
I forgot though, you might need a press to press the wheel studs in and out of the rotor. You can try using a hammer to get them out, but they may not budge. And its even harder to get the new ones back in. If you don't have a press, you can take them to a shop and they should be able to press them in for you for a couple bucks.

I was able to hammer the old studs out and the new ones in without any trouble. I did have to grind a little off the backing plates to fit the bigger caliper.

I was able to hammer the old studs out and the new ones in without any trouble. See...some people have no problems. But I tried for an hour just to beat the old ones out with no luck. I HAD to use a press.

I used a hi-lift and old wheel nuts to get the wheel studs out. Budget shop press at its best.
