anyone have any problems with a leaky sunroof? how to fix? where to fix?

No leaks but I saw the guys at VIB on Kingsway tear out two sunroofs from a pair of Pajero's back in July when I was scouting for one.

They pulled the headliner out and went it from the bottom/inside as far as I know. It seems that once the rails start to rust, it gets bad to worse fast and leaking can't be stopped. Hope I'm wrong. Take a peek.

I would silicone the sunrood before I rip the headliner out...thats too much work for me, but im lazy lol.

I think the drains are plugged. I wanna blast some air in there to blow out dirt but I've read that this might blow the plastic hose on the inside apart. I've got to find another way to clean this gently.

Check the two drain outlets on each side at the front. Mine were plugged with accumulated debris, if these are draining properly a slow leak shouldn't get in the truck. There is a small rubber tube that runs through the body from the openings. I ran a small wire down as far as I could to start an opening, then blew some air down. {On one side I had to open the headliner and pull the hose off the metal line leading from the sunroof opening then run the wire.} This got a little flow started I then kept pouring water in and they cleaned out. solved my leak problem

If you shove a wire down there, how long does it have to be? Will a clothes hanger do it?

You will need a very small gauge flexible wire, small but stiff enough to push through the first bends and twists if it won't go then remove a piece of headliner directly below and get access to the rubber tube.

I had a leak in the sunroof last year. All I did to fix it was silicone where the glass and the metal frame meet. Solved it right away.
