Getting the Wheeling Fever

Im buying a tow bar fro my 89 trooper and wanted to know if I tow it if it would still run the speedo. Or should i just get tow dolly?

I think adding miles to an 89 Trooper is the least of any concerns.
You will need to pull the driveshaft and tie it up out of the way. The TC (specifically the rear output bearing and bushing) does not get sufficient lubrication in neutral with the driveshaft spinning.

Thanks a lot I didn't know that you had to pull the drive shaft off. I mite be getting a tow dolly which I think will work better. Thanks A lot

Even with a tow dolly, you will need to tow it backwards and have the front hubs unlocked.
