Getting the Wheeling Fever

I have a 2002 Tracker 2.0 engine. With manual transmission. When I start car it seems to be reving faster than it should but does slow down pretty quickly. Any ideas?

They have an automatic accelerator so it accelerates when it is cold to warm up faster, is it really cold where you are? Maybe its just getting stuck a little bit. How high does it go? If over 5000 rpm's it could be a problem, if around 3500 there is no problem.

I have had truck a couple months and has done it from the start. Temprature was in the 90's when first purchased. It might get to 3500 rpm at start but not 5000. Was kinda concerned with the fast start up with the cold weather coming. But does idle down pretty fast.
