I have an 88 Ram 50, case you couldn't tell by my username and dozens of other posts. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Is the steering box play adjustable on these? I seem to have a wandering problem and alot of play in the wheel.

yes they are adjustable but have you looked at your idler arm and other steering first?

All new tie rods, and the shop said my idler and pitman arm are in good shape.

they just have a lot of play...I have never seen a ram 50 that didn't have quite a bit...my old truck had a slight pull to the right so that made it easy to drive...no wandering at all hahah.

when you adjust the freeplay make sure you go a little at a time and do several test drives.you dont want to tighten it up to much

I know what you mean. I had a pull untill I had it aligned. Now it wanders. *sigh*
