just performed a compression test and leak down test on my new to me 84 4x4. The numbers are as follows
compression- #1-150psi...#2,3,4-170psi

leakdown- #1-65%.....#2,3,4-35%
Durung leakdown test cylinder #1 was leaking through exhaust and out through the valve cover(PCV hole)

Cylinders 2,3,4 were mostly leaking through valve cover( PCV hole)
Sounds to me like leakage could be caused by bad valves and valve guides. Am I right in this?

something I forgor to mention....when performing the compression test in cylinder #1 the original reading was 150psi. I then inject some oil into the cylinder and re-checked. The new reading was 8-10 psi higher (158-160)Being that all the other cylinders had good compression could the #1 have stuck rings or does this signal some other damage.
