94 rodeo has a busted leaf on both passenger and driver side. is it worth trying to replace them my self or should i bring it somewhere.

also, is it that big of a deal to replace the fuel pump myself? the tank itself looks like it would come out without to much of a fight.

All it takes is a basic set of metric wrenches/sockets. I believe 14mm, 17mm, 19mm, and 24mm will cover it... maybe a 10 or 12 for the e-brake cable bracket bolt. Start spraying everything with PB Blaster now and repeat daily until you do the project. If you can turn a bolt, you can replace leaf springs.

The fuel pump is pretty basic as well. Unbolt skid plate, unbolt tank supported by floor jack, lower a bit and then disconnect hoses/electrical connections, lower the rest of the way, unbolt pump, replace, repeat above steps in reverse order.

Body Damage is Cool
Lowering the gas tanks works best if it is low on fuel <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />

Actually, lowering it is a lot easier if it is full. However, lowering UNDER CONTROL and without hurting yourself is best done with the tank as close to empty as possible. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />
