Need a Spot
I have just bought a 1980 Toyota Pickup 4wd. I was told that the carb was just rebuilt but it wont idle at all. It runs great as long as you keep you foot on the gas. I don't know where to start can anyone please give me some advise?

Do you have it home now? I would look for vacuum leaks first. Carefully spray a little carb cleaner around the base of the carburetor while trying to let it idle. Also, listen for any obvious hissing noises near idle speed. Sometimes, the brake booster has a vacuum leak; try pinching off the booster vacuum hose as well as any other large diameter vacuum lines.
