i have a 92 pickup with the 22re i just put a new long block in it runs good with lots of power but is missing at about 2500 to 3000rpms in all gears only not under a load if you are speeding up or push the gas pedel down it goes away any ideas timing is a 5 deg valves are 8 and 12 thanks

Might be the EGR valve opening up at the wrong time, perhaps due to hooking up the vacuum lines feeding it improperly. For a quick check, try plugging the vacuum line to the valve itself. If missing goes away, fix the EGR plumbing.

when mine did that it was the TPS... try calibrating that as well.

i checked the egr plumbing it is all ok ill check the tps adjustment tonite thanks for the help

Any stored codes in the engine computer?

Might check the Air Flow Meter and make sure the connector is snug:

I had a missing issue with my '85 at certain RPMs and finally it threw an AFM code and I found a loose connector at the AFM. Fixed that and all works fine now. Missing was due to the fuel pump cutting out a little and the fuel pressure dropped.
