California. USA 4Crawler Web Wheeler Might be the EGR valve opening up at the wrong time, perhaps due to hooking up the vacuum lines feeding it improperly. For a quick check, try plugging the vacuum line to the valve itself. Might check the Air Flow Meter and make sure the connector is snug: http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/AFM/index.shtml I had a missing issue with my '85 at certain RPMs and finally it threw an AFM code and I found a loose connector at the AFM. Fixed that and all works fine now.
