Greetings from the older toyota truck forum. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />
(I'll try to behave myself in here)

I just picked up a 96 Grand Cherokee Laredo 5.2 with 110,000 miles on the odometer. I don't know its service history and I'm guessing it's been neglected outside of oil changes. I've got some questions.

What usually goes bad on these vehicles around/below that mileage?

I've come across a few mentions of transmission issues. Can anyone elaborate? I bought this ZJ as a tow vehicle. Bad move?

What is the interval for timing chain replacement? (wasn't in the haynes manual I bought)

Aside from fresh fluids of every sort and a tune-up, what should I do to bring her up to speed?

Is there a concensus on what diameter exhaust functions best with the V8?

If you've got an answer to any one of these questions, I'd appreciate your help. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
