Need a Spot
Heard the bad news today that one of the cylinders has low compression. There is therefor the possibility of a burnt valve or a piston thats bad. I can however get hold of a low mileage Mazda 2 liter 16 valve engine

My question now is, can I fit the Mazda engine into my Kia without any major alterations like mountings, oil pan, and so on?

Thanks for your help.

if it is the dohc fe3n then it should go no problem, you just need to swap the thermostat to the opposite side i believe and use the kia intake and stuff. other than that the engines are identical from what i have read.
