So my lil trooper is LOUD, probably due to the fact that the previous owner shortened to exhaust pipe to in front of the left hand rear wheel, and took out the muffler. I am looking for an exhaust/muffler combo that will quiet the engine, and hopefully even boost the MPG and power. The exhaust is the stock size, perhaps i should go larger? 3"? Anyone out there have any experience or ideas on this? thanks in advance...

Well you can go with a MBRP Diesel Performance Muffler and change your intake to 5 inch, stainless steel, straight drop in. Part #M79M2050 about $130. It's not real quiet either and it's not going to give the little 4 cyl anything noticibale (audible yes). The drop in like OEM muffler is a Bosal B0166049 for about $45 - and I guess you will need the tailpipe. Good Luck!
