Check the F'93FSM(Factory Service Manual) at the top of the forum. It could be the speedometer itself, a speed sensor, or the wire/connections could have come loose.

The FSM's are there. Look at the title of the stickys.

There are 3 FSM's in the second topic on this fporum's topic page, here FSM's

Since it is intermintent and the odometer is continuing to clock the miles I would think the problem is in the speedometer itself. Unfortunately the only way to check this is to pull the gauge cluster out.

Speedo head on '93 is likely culprit. Speed sensor wouldn't let the miles keep ticking otherwise <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />. They are EXPENSIVE to get re-SCREWED! Git a yard one and go on. Or rely on the tach.

Thanks man. By speedo head you mean the needle itself right? So I can just grab a new guage cluster from a yard? The thing works one day and then not the next now...!

yeah, I just got the whole cluster from the donor truck that was a couple of miles down the road. I didn't have to take anything apart. Just R&R the cluster and it was good to go. Unplugs and can't mess up from harness connections. Just a pain to fool with!!
