Has anyone ever had a problem with the inner glass seal preventing the window from being rolled up all the way? 87 runner, manual windows w/ vent- when I got the truck the seals were in pretty bad condition (IE half-missing), so I pulled some off a runner in the local yard. The rubber was a little hard, no harder than what I pulled off but still pliable. Everything went in without any problems, but I soon discovered that the window didn't want to go all the way up without putting a LOT of force on the crank. Eventually, this lead to the last few teeth on the regulator gear being broken off. As a result, my window stops about 4 inches short of rolling all the way up unless I manually move the glass up and stick it in the seal.

Anyone run into this? I'm sure I remember seeing it mentioned on here or ORC, but I'll be dammed if I can't find the post, lol. Any fixes for this? I just got a new regulator and really DON'T want to kill it.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Been there. Dun that! PIA ain't it!! Still to this day have not got the pass. side to quit being a beotch to "roll its own" w/out paging "The Incredible Hulk" to work that out!
Actually, the track for the front of the moving glass needs "tweaking" to get the glass to quit "rocking" as it goes up and down, if that is correct Southern for it digging into the track at the edges of the glass track. Too loose. Bend the track at the mounting point in or out against the glass/away from to eliminate. Oh, and biggest help is to USE it (unlike what I DON'T Do)

LUCK!!!
