There is a JVC stereo/cd player in my dash. One of the wires say's 12vdc on it and goes directly to the battery. But the unit only works with the ignition turned on. Is there a change I can make so the stereo works without the ignition being on? I want to listen to my XM radio while outside the Jeep. Thanks. Used YJ Parts - Hundreds to Choose From! If you wire this switched 12V and the constant 12 Volt + directly to the battery your stereo will work all the time. Just don't forget to turn your stereo off. There might be a sticker on the bottom of your stereo that lists the color code for the wires.
