My 95 is having trouble holding it's oil. It is not dripping on the ground and I don't seem to be burning it either, so where's it going. Usually I add a quart between oil changes and that seems to be enough. Now with the colder weather it is taking longer to warm up and after running for an hour on the highway the pressure drops dramatically. What is happening and what can I do to fix it.

Could be sludge. I'd run an oil pressure test and a leakdown and compression test.

>>>*It is common for it to take longer to fully warm in cold weather, but when it becomes noticable this is a sign of several possibles.

An overly rich condition will cause the engine to require an extended warmup period, if it even ever reaches fully normal. This can be a simple as certain sensor errors.

This also can contaminate the oil with excess fuel, resulting in added oil usage and, and also a drop in oil pressure when the engine does reach temperature.

A simple test is to change the oil, then monitor it carefully the first couple of days. If oil pressure acts improved, suspect oil contamination.

In that case it's tuneup time and quickly, next on the agenda is engine repair if you don't. One flaw with cat equipped engines is they can hide these problems.

More serious is it is also a sign of a worn engine, with poor ring seal and looser than normal bearings.....*EB

Thanks bro it helps to know what i am up against. I am thinking of just a new engine but I am short on time and money. Tune up, sounds doable I just had the timingbelt and water pump done about 50k or so do you think it's that time again while I'm in here?

You're probably fine on those for now. You need to stick with figuring out your pressure issue, and getting that taken care of.

If you opt to do an oil flush, make sure you follow the directions on the bottle.
