Need a Spot
I have come to the conclusion that jeeps are extremely cold without there fast acting heaters! My heat/air conditioning is out.... it started with with jus my control unit, i was unable to adjust where to send the heat/ air conditioning. so i went out bought a new head unit but nothing happened. now my heat and a/c is totally gone i can't control the amount of heat jus nothing comes out. any ideas on where i should go from here? i am guessing and hoping that my ground or power source is bad so thats where i am heading so far...

thanks

Them TJ's have a combination of vacuum and volts operating the various gates and such..
If no heat comes out the needed vents the problem is most likly the small motor that opens and shuts the heat/blend door.

I agree with BJ that is where you need to start checking for the problem.

We also need to know what type of vehicle you have.

If no air is coming out at all I would suspect a bad blower motor, or as you said it could be a bad ground. Clean your grounds to bare metal, hook the ground back up, and primer it, or paint it.

I looked over the jeep a lil more last night, the ground and power source including fuses were all operateable no problems with power. I may not have been clear before, but there is very limited heat coming out as if the radiator is working but no air is rushing past it. My guess is my blower motor is fried and needs to be replaced?!?! My next questions is how easy are blower motors replaced?...i would like to do it myself but if i will hit alot of trouble i would jus take it to a jeep shop

thanks again

Ok as you click the motor control higher and higher do you hear the fan running? Is there more and more air movement?
Most of these heater problems are the small blend motor.. NOT the major fan motor.. But they have been known to fail also.
If the fan motor is quitting on you the heat will get HOT anyway! If the blend motor is quitting you will most likely never get HOT heat. Or possibly never get anything BUT hot heat..

Another issues might be the resistor for the fan control, if it works only on high but nothing lower this is the cause.

BUT!
Can you hear the fan running or not? I guess we need to know this before adding anything else. if you canhear the fan, then it is something in the blend unit, I have seen ice form and sieze the blend door, burn out the blend door motor, and break the tab off the blend door activator.

It would help if we had a better description
