A couple of things that are old news to me, I just haven't posted them up. Just renewed my tags:

and I built a gear carrier because I wasn't satisfied with the clearance, or lack thereof, the readily available hitch carriers offer. I've got two Mastiffs and they take up all the space in the back even with the seats out so I needed something. I built the deck like that with the intention of keeping it light. It worked pretty well. Holds Everything secure and provides plenty of lashing points.

Never you mind the goose poop welds. I'm not very pretty with my ReadyWelder, but it gets the job done. I'm much better with a real welder, but I don't have one.

Nice work. I like the license plate, too.

Nice little setup! How do you like your Ready Welder? I've been wondering if one is worth picking up or not. That's a skill I'd like to acquire.

Hey, maybe you could squeeze out a few more of them and raise that bumper

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah. I would but I'm stalled out right now contemplating the future of the amigo. Trying to make decisions about projects on hold vs. long term goals for it. I know I want to keep it and I have an idea of what a "finished" amigo looks like for me, but I've got some planning to do on how to get there and when.

Hope to see you in NC this coming year, Jeff and Pete.

Funny story about that plate. I got pulled over in town and the P.O. walked up and said,
"nothing's wrong with your driving I just need to see your license."

I handed it to him asking him if something had come up and the computer and he said "Yes it did".

He takes a look at it and sees that I'm not who he thought I was and asks if I own the vehicle. I say that I do own it and he then asks me if I know a Mark Godzilla (name changed to protect the guilty).
I recognize the name as the guy that sold me my first Isuzu, a 97 rodeo back in 2000, from a dealership that has since shut down.

Aparently Mr. Godzilla has a suspended license as well as warrants for his arrest. When the P.O. pulls up the plate number on the computer he said he got 4 pages of this other guy's record before he gets to me!

I called up the registry and asked them what could be done about it and they essentially said Nothing. The guy turned his "ISUZU" plates in back in September of 1997, but they are still being assosiated with him, which completely doesn't make sense to me.

So to avoid future headaches I may be getting rid of them.

Mass only allows 6 characters on a plate. CHURCH is available though.

For anyone reading this who isnÆt in on the joke...

I honestly can't remember who it was that originally said it, but someone (other than me) once took a ride with Jeremy in his 1999 Amigo... and afterward, they dubbed his rig THE CHURCH -- as in: æGet in, sit down, shut up, and PRAY!Æ

Skeptical of the veracity of this claim, I rode shotgun with Jeremy a few hours later; and in no time, I too was a true believerà I verified, irrefutably, that the experience provides grounds to earnestly plead for the intervention of absolutely any Deity that might be listening!
