Need a Spot
Hello,

05 4 runner 4WD and I need to change front brakes. I'm going to follow the collective wisdom of this group and get Toyota brand pads. I looked for a Haynes or Chilton manual at parts store, but neither company seems to make them yet for my year. IÆve done many brakes on a 1995 4 disc Explorer before, so IÆm familiar with the process. Just wondering if there are any things to keep an eye on? They make a Haynes manual for a 2002 but didnÆt know if theyÆre similar enough?

Thanks,
Ted

Tons of great tech manual resources available free here:
TSM sticky

I think you'll have better luck searching in the EBSCO (Bedford Library) database.

EDIT- I just checked it out, and EBSCO has the TSM for your rig. Looks as simple as my Tacoma.

34,000 and my front are about 70% worn out, back is only about 50% worn. I have Michelin Cross Terrain (OEM) and they're about 60-70% worn out. Since I have a warranty through Discount Tire and these tires are warranted up to 60,000 I'll probably stick with the same set. These are excellent tires and have been no trouble at all. They're expensive, but I think they're worth it.
