I don't think it is, but is this what my transfer case mount should look like?
[Linked Image]
I pulled it because the transfer case has excessive movement and it looked like maybe there was a sleeve missing from this mount. There is a sleeve on the bolt that runs through it, it just seems way too small to me. Part number on the mount is mb260676, which turns up as "engine mounting torque strut". It came off the drivers side of the xfer case. Thanks for your help guys

I think that is the "transfer case roll stop." All of mine were like that with the big center hole. I know they make new ones with extra rubber in them. Check your actual Tcase/transmission mount, mounted on top of that cross member. Mine was completely severed after 15 years. There is a small metal strip bolted through it too for when they fail. Check your motor mounts too.

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

Yea thats the roll stop. Swapped mine out when I did my tranny mount. Its buried above your skidplates and bracket PITA to get to I think.

It is not a mounting, but a safety feature that will prevent the transmission from separating from the chassis in the event of a roll-over.

The rubber in the roll-over catch-all is not rigid enough to act as a mounting.

Somebody previously posted a photo of a brand new one which looked much like yours.
