Need a Spot
wtf? I just replaced the alternator and the regulator. It's worked perfect and all of a sudden yesterday on my way home from work the charge light just popped on and my voltage guage slowly went lower. I've checked to see if everything is plugged in and the belt is still on. Could it be a slipping belt? I can't see it slip but it's happened to me before. Would it be the battery?

ps I drove it home perfectly and when I shut it off it wouldn't even try to turn over when I tried to start it back up. Today I went outside and she fired right up but the light is still on and the voltage still slowly went down.

Thanks for any help

Yup, I bet you got a junk alternator. Thats why your MUCH better off rebuilding your stock alternator (and starter) since the parts store ones are junk.

x 3. I always tell folks to have their alternators, starters, and batteries bench checked before walking out of the store. Some places have the harnesses to check your voltage regulators also.
