What is the smallest vehicle Toyota makes with a transfer case?
I'm guessing it's the Tacoma/4runner, but am not sure. Does anybody know why the RAV / Highlander platforms didn't have it? I know most people don't use it in those levels, but since Suzuki used it in the Tracker...
Thanks,
Michael

What about the old 4wd Tercel wagons? In the 80s they had a transfer case (of sorts). I believe there was a certain model that even had a reduction gear in the TC.
With 200+ Billion electrical parts, the world most complicated machine is inside your own skull.

Why doesnt the rav or highlander have a t-case? Because they are unibody, front wheel drive, car chassis with a transversely mounted engine. No room for a t-case really.
Reason why a tracker has a t-case is because it has a regular truck body mouted on a frame, rear wheel drive, with a longitudinally mounted engine.
