G'day,

Yes, Isuzu manual says 18 lb-ft for all intake manifold bolts (near enough to your 17).

62Mb PDF workshop manual download for the V6 http://www.spottedhaggis.com/isuzu/090.pdf

It's for the Trooper but the engine/trans sections are applicable.

13 ft lbs. Isuzu revised it a while ago. There is a TSB about it but I dont remember which one at the moment. Make sure you use an inch lb wrench as a ft lb torque wrench wont be accurate enough at that low of a setting.

Just for clarification, what is it. lb-ft or lb-in?

13lb-ft is 156lb-in. I think most lb-in wrenches can do that, but low range lb-ft wrenches are out there too.

Just don't put 13lb-ft on a 13lb-in bolt. Actually, you won't get there. It will break long before you get that tight. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Good Luck,
Michael

Its ft lbs. I always recommend converting to inch lbs and using an inch lb wrench at that low of a setting for accuracy and most ppl dont have low range ft lb wrenches.
