If you've been reading my posts then you know that I got a good deal on a 95 trooper LS 5sd. Well my friend came buy to show me some stuff from work and noticed my beast in the garage. He just recently sold his truck and his only car broke down so he made me a desperate offer on it. I paid 500 for it, 100 for towing, 200 for a clutch kit, and 100 for paint and sand for the blaster. So I have 900 wrapped up in it and he offered me 1800 for it which included helping me put the clutch in lol. I know I can easily get 2000 or more for the condition it's in, but he is my buddy and he is really appreciative person who would take good care of it. He also swore he would not sell it and he would drive it till it wouldn't go anymore. I know he's telling the truth, his poor saturn has 250,000 miles on it and finally gave up!! Well anyway It's not a done deal yet, and wanted to know what you guys would do in my situation. As for me still staying a Isuzu guy, after being close up and personnal with this trooper, I either want another Trooper or a Rodeo, the build quality is exceptional and I'm really impressed what comes stock on these vechicles. As for finding him another car, he wants a SUV with room and class and he really likes the way it looks and knows that when I wrench on a car it's done right and is reliable.

I'd take the offer. You double your dough, hook your buddy up, and it's still close to home. I just hope you can find another good deal on a 'zu nearby <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

I'm thinking about a older trooper(89-91) or a rodeo(92-97), but it all really depends if the price is right!! So if anyone is selling a trooper or a rodeo for 2k or less that's with 60 miles of me, feel free to PM with some info. I perfer a 5sd v6 in the rodeo, a 5sd I4 trooper(89-91), or 5sd trooper(93-97), but still open for whatever.

Damn!! I must have gotten a good deal on that trooper I sold, because I can't find anything close to it!!! I'm sort of getting desperate here lol!! I found some rodeos that I like, and I'm just deciding on what to do. I'm also looking at the older troopers but the wife thinks their ugly. I told to her she needs to look past the shell and see the capability these beasts have!! Well that means 92 and up trooper or a rodeo for me. I want to get this build done soon because I don't know where my job is going to send me and I don't want to leave a half finished project.

I'll sell you an 89 RS short wheel base trooper, SAS with toyota front axle, 5.29 gears, toyota IFS rear 5.29s w/ lockrite. 35x15.5x15 baja claws on alum. wheels. it was beast offroad in its day. the bad news is it needs a motor, i didn't put antifreeze in it last winter and cracked the block. If you've got a 2.6 block i've got a good head with cam i'll sell separate. Its in Greenville nc $2100 or $2600 with AMC head w/delta cam and also include isuzu head gasket set. let me know if you are interested, I don't have time to work on it anymore and need to clean up the yard.

The 86+ toyota trucks that came with IFS in the FRONT had a wider rear axle, 58'' over the older 85 and down solid axle trucks had a 55'' rear axle.
