The companion flange from the transfercase is still attached to the drive shaft. The shaft in the transfercase is snapped into. My question regards if the transfercase can be removed without removing the transmission. The Clymer manual says that the transmission and transfercase should be removed as a unit and then seperated. Thoughts ? Just an OLD hippy with lot's of experience ! The trans and transfer are one piece, and cannot be separated.
