Getting the Wheeling Fever
I was just in the garage ops checking my 4Runner (1987) rear window. It will roll down all except the last 3 or 4 inches. Looked in the tailgate, but seen no obstructions. What am I missing?? Thanks Ron

Likely teeth.

Teeth on the crescent gear of the regulator. The little gear on the motor meshes with the teeth on the crescent shaped peice of steel, when the it gets to a missing (or worn down) tooth it stops

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Thanks for the info. I will check it. I spayed everything down with kroil and ran a screwdriver through the track and it goes down now. It has been sitting for awhile without being used, so I am sure it is all crusted up. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Need a Spot
It's really pretty simple to take off the pannels on the tailgate and take a look at everything. You can lube up the bottom (horizontal) track where the plastic rollers/wheels go back an forth.
Mine kept having problems, so when I took it apart, I found that one of the wheels was gone, and the other was nearly gone. I got a replacement form the wreck yard.
