OK this does not seem to be an electrical problem.
When I roll the rear window all the way up at the very top I hear a bit of a bang and then it will not roll down. It will click and make moving sounds like it is trying but to no avail. I have taken off the panels and fiddled around and found that if I try to roll the window down then reach in the tailgate and grab on the drivers-side guide arm it will pull down slightly with a "click" and the window will be operational again until I roll it all the way up again.
This does seem to be a mechanical problem as the sticking is accompanied by loud clicks and bangs. It seems like the teeth are binding but I can't find any obtrusions that are making things jam.

Has anyone encountered this problem? How did you fix it? Is there a way of adjusting how high the window will roll up so that I can avoid this issue?

TIA
John

I had a similar symptoms. My problem was that that a wiring loom was getting in the way of the windows. I had to use a zip tie to keep it out of the way of the windows mechinism. I think the oem part broke off.
