Getting the Wheeling Fever
Its tune up time. I guess most people might say "Toyota" parts only. Since other parts stores are right in my backyard, i was just wondering about other brands (beck arnley, bosch, niehoff etc.) im going with HGK plugs.
Thanks in advance.

OEM and while you are at the dealer pick up a set of plugs also.

X2, I use these for just about anything Toyota, from oil filters, bearings, and even new REAL carpet kits for the Camry. 1/2 the cost of cheezy aftermarket.

Need a Spot
Some of us have yotas that are so old that the dealers no longer stock parts. My (new) truck is an '80. What distrib cap / rotor would you guys recommend when you can no longer get the oem's? Briefly looking, my choices are Standard, Bosch, and one described as "Asian". (Unless "Asian" is a company name????)

It's Aisin. That's essentially OEM; our stock carbs are Aisin, as are the hubs. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Stick with NGK plugs from NAPA. The Fram cap and rotor I've never had trouble with. You should still be able to get OEM plug wires from the dealer, but gawd--$$$$. OEM oil filter or NAPA's gold filter will work for you too.

Don't fret-- there's a couple '80 owners around here. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />
