I was just wondering how long do the 3.3L motors last. I've seen many isuzus running around with high 190,000 to mid 200,000 and wanted to know from your guys experince with these motor on what to expect as I'm new to Isuzu.

Top end completely replaced at 87,000 miles at the tune of $4,300.oo and some change. 208,000 miles later still has the orginal starter, coil, all sensors, all valves, just replaced the original alternator recently. I'd say that has been one of my better motors I've had in my 30 years of driving.

I"m at 215 000km, and running strong. Have the usual oil consumption.

My last 3.2 has 280,000kms on it and was still going strong with I think the original timing belt. Lots of power, no ticks or clicks, but...horrible fuel consumption, thirstiest Trooper I ever owned. I got about 350kms per tank in that sucker...
I'm pretty sure it needed a valve and ring job though, as it would smoke on startup quite bad after sitting for a couple days...
