Need a Spot
|
My 94 toyota pick-up L4 4x4 just turned over 130,210 miles and the past couple of days I have been noticing that my Idle is extremly higher then it should be. It doesn't do it every time i run the vehicle, but it is start to occur more often. If anybody has any ideas on what it could be or what i should do let me know. Thanks

Check for a vacuum leak. Get a can of starting fluid and start spraying around vacuum lines, manifold, and intake tubing. If the idle increases, then you have a vacuum leak.

Getting the Wheeling Fever

your ecm coolant sensor could be suspect too if you find nothing else. its on the intake next to the head. if it has been cold for you these couple of days and the truck isn't warming up fast then that could make the idle fast too. soo where is the the temp at when the idle is high?
