Did the fancy flexalite aluminum radiator, unfortunately is has been leaking out of the box...i liked that it was fully welded and potentially more durable for use offroad...but they are out of stock for a few months and i wont be able to get a new one...so im going back to stock style, all the general google searches have turned up the exact same radiators with the only lifetime one being out of stock until May...
any suggestions besides the expensive Toyota radiator...???
are the plastic tanks more durable than the brass tanks with soldered supports (which was the issue with my CSF radiator)

I get mine at NAPA. Work fine. Got a warranty on that AL one? www.radiatorbarn.com free shipping for you '48 guys, and www.radiator.com a few Yota folks here have used and have been happy customers. So, here's your comparison shopping! No clue on the plastic ones for ya. I won't own one up here with the cold extremes.

warranty should be covered its still in the truck, FAL has been pretty good with my radiator fan so i dont expect too much trouble with the radiator, they're suppose to issue a refund when they receive it.

I bought one from 1-800-radiator in a hurry before a trip. It is all-metal but I don't know the brand. Has been working fine for 5-6 years.

I just got one for my 93. Overnight from Advance auto. $248. Made in China for an outfit named Proliance. Limited lifetime warranty. Well made aluminum, good workmanship, perfect fit to the truck. Came with the trans cooling fittings, no cap. Had to go for a different cap as it did not match factory profile. The only thing I will do differently should I ever have to is to drill out the welded on nuts on the braces where the mounting bolts go and put in 1/4-20 bolts and lock nuts - FROM THE INSIDE! Getting to the 4 bolts through the grill was a major pita. Damm those assembly design engineers. None of them think about the poor slob who has to do work on the vehicle. They must all go to the same school.

I purchased a radiator with a "lifetime" warranty from radiators.com. If you read the small print on the warranty they require that you replace the coolant annually. If you are using the Toyota stuff, at $19+/gal it wouldn't take long to pay for another "lifetime" radiator. They also require you to send the radiator back to them for "evaluation" at your cost. See if you can get the warranty requirements before you pay the extra for it.

Here in NY if you have an undamaged unit (collision accident, obvious stupid human events, etc.) that has failed, Advance Auto will replace it - no big deal. They want return customers more than a few bucks. Same for Auto Zone and a few others around here.
