Getting the Wheeling Fever
Hey guys - so tonight I decided to wrench on my truck, however, its been the coldest day of the year. This was the least of my problems.

1) As I was turning the wheel when i first fired up the truck to move it to the garage - it was very difficult. I then heard a noise from the power steering pump, and turning the wheel came very easily. Now, i dont know if this was just by sheer coincidence, but then I had no brakes. Pumped and pumped and pumped the brake pedal, and my brake light came on. Almost no fluid - looekd around, and from inside the right rear drum - fluid was pouring out. I assume this is a blown wheel cylinder. Correct?

2) I replaced the AAP - Auxilery Accelerator pump - because I was getting about ~ 100 miles to the tank. Shure enough, it was old and not very plyable. I put the new one in, but now I have a very high idle and at one point, it would drop to 200 rpm, then jump to 1000, then down to 200, then to 1000 then almost die, then idle high, etc. for a while - What gives? Carb settings?

Thanks for the hlep gents,

Dave

#1) Likely correct. Plan on R&R for the other side too. Also plan on simply doing a complete brake flush. That's recommended about every 2-3 years anyway.

#2)I'd check for vacuum leaks first, esp if you took the carb off.
