Need a Spot
Just bought a new alternator for My 86 trooper TD and was trying to find out which wires go where. The large white one was easy but there are three smaller wires that fit into a coupler. They were not hooked up when i took out the old one so I don't know where to put them. The wires coming from the fuse box are in the picture. They are a solid white, a white with red stripe and a black with yellow stripe. The wires from the alternator that go into the back of the couple are a solid white, a white with blue stripe and a white with a green stripe. If anyone could help, please let me know
Here are some pics of the wires

Body Damage is Cool
I'll have to check the position of the wires on my 86 Trooper when I get home to tell you where. The front body is off, so it will be easy to check. But I can tell you the White/ Red is the charge light. The black /red is the ignition switch. And I belive the white should be the ground.

What happened to your plug in? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

I just went through wiring my I Mark Diesel but it's plug was round.

Jerry is down in the shop right now. Just got off the phone with him. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Maybe he'll check the "Wire" in an hour or so and can clear this up before I can get home.

All the best
Curtis
