Lurker here (hi Randii, Chris, et al.),
Has anyone every installed a Fageol blower on their TII or other Zu? Anyone written it up and/or have a link for such a write up?

I know most of the thirdgen.com stuff, and the streets pg on the S10 install. Just wanting to pump up power on the WomBAT (35s and the 3.4 aren't enough), and this seems the logical step. Curious how the gains feel and how the install was.

Cheers,
Sean

I have one , but have not yet installed it as there is some fabbing to do , and I don't have a lot of time.If you have the supercharger allready ,you are doing good , if not good luck trying to find one.

As for power , it should add roughly 35HP when its all in.

Fageol seems to say (and Fbody posts suggest) more like a 25-30% gain. So a conservative 180hp now (given mods) would have me expect more like 50hp. But I suppose it doesn't matter what one thinks if it never gets installed.

Did you buy yours used or from them? Fageol still has them.

Also, what kind of fender extenders are those? Is the hood scoop on your photos to accomodate the blower height?

Brush the snow off and get it installed, then I can have excuse to come to BC and try it!

Forced-induction sounds promising, but I just went with more cubes.

In the end, installing a supercharger would have been WAY simpler, but I do love the growl of my V8.

302 in the migo, right?

I've thought how nice the growl might be, but 45-70hp gain might be enoughàand fairly bolt up it appears.

There is no such thing as 'enough.'

A buddy is trying to sell me his nitrous kit.

I laughed and asked if he'd help me replace the pistons when I burnt through their domes.

He raised the stakes by offering a freshly-built 351.

Maybe I need a NOS "sipper" system. Mostly I want to pull stronger up grades, but somehow I doubt that gas is the gas I need.

I have a NOS system sitting here also that I was going to plumb in when I did the supercharger. The kit I have adds up to 75HP depending what jets I use.Its just the time and a place to continue working on the truck.so much to do , so little time to do it in.

I think with the added hp from the supercharger you would be happy.especially if you have a 3.4 allready.

Sean-

IIRC, you have a "less-than-desirable" cylinder on that engine. Before you start blowing things in from the top, you may need to address the bottom end, first.
