While I'm at it w/ the flurry of postsàare there any common failure causes for a TII to have its fan (for heater/defroster, etc) suddenly stop?
I'm hoping the answer is something other than tearing apart the dash. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/scared.gif" alt="" />

Try it on High setting first. If it runs, then the resistor pack (which regulates all fan speeds except for High, which is straight 12V) is bad. If it doesn't run, check the fuse. If no problem there, the motor is suspect.

If you find you need parts, I have a 2.8 Trooper sitting at my place.
Buy a Trooper. You'll be glad you did.

If you find you need parts, I have a 2.8 Trooper sitting at my place. Your Troopers are all full of nasty stingie wasps. If you'd broom the snow off them and dig out the motor for me that would be so very kind of you. BTW, you old Norwegian woodstove is about to find a home in the shop going in behind my garage. You'll be receiving an invite for the innagural lighting of it (the stove, I mean). Swede, I'll check. I am 99.9% sure it is dead on all settings though. Fuse is next. IIRC the ones under the hood don't specifiy any as fan/heater, so will have to look up which one it isà
